He created a new musical movement, Afrobeat, through which he expressed his revolutionary political views against the dictatorial government of Nigeria of 70 and 80. The power and strength of Fela message remains valid today and is expressed through political movements of oppressed peoples, embracing the music and message of Fela in their struggle for freedom.
