The Venetian Marco Polo was not only a brilliant explorer, but opened a trade route, which made possible the cultural exchange between China and Europe. The Venetian bold traveled to East and succeeded in winning the favor of Kublai Khan, who appointed him his adviser. During the sixteen years he served the Khan, he met not only the vast regions of China, but also the great advances that civilization. When a Persian ambassador asks Kublai Khan a princess for their king, Polo decides to accompany her and takes the journey to return to Venice.
