Told with the perpetual smile on his lips, the adventure of Isaac maintains the charm and freshness of the silent film era, but not its characteristic ingenuity. Oliveira, as the Devil himself, knows more for being old than for devil, as he sports, driving like a puppeteer the hapless photographer.
