The saint of joy, the minstrel of God, the second Apostle of Rome " Pippo the Good ", was born in Florence in 1515 and lived over 60 years in Rome. While all this was the Council of Trent, which conducted the Counter, San Felipe formed youth with tenderness and irony bringing them closer to the liturgy and getting them to divirtiesen singing and playing in a place that later became the Oratory, a congregation recognized by Pope Gregory XIII. San Felipe Neri was a friend of St. Ignatius of Loyola and Cardinal Charles Borromeo. When the Pope wanted to name him cardinal, promptly replied: "I prefer to Paradise." It was proclaimed a saint in 1622.
