Remake of the classic science - fiction film directed by Robert Wise in 1971 and based on a novel by Michael Crichton. The story begins when a satellite of the United States falling incident lands near a small town in Utah, unleashes a deadly plague that kills almost everyone except two survivors -an old man and a child- that could provide clues to immunize the population. While military attempt to quarantine the region, a team of highly specialized scientists come together to find a cure, and thus try to stop the spread of alien pathogen, code- named Andromeda.
