Somewhere in Thailand, an artificial virus kills people in a small village. The villa is destroyed, but a little boy caught escapes and manages to flee to Tokyo from a band of Eco - terrorists who want to save the world using the virus to wipe out humanity. In Tokyo, L promises to use the remaining days of her life to protect this child.
