MOVIE SYNOPSIS: You can watch Pep Gimeno Botifarra: El cant de les arrels, full movie on FULLTV - The documentary shows the peculiar history of Pep Gimeno Botifarra, a phenomenon of music, popular and traditional song in Valencia. Botifarra began singing in the street Puig de Xativa in 1975 with only 15 years old, and since 1978 he toured the villages in the region of the Coast and the Vall d'Albaida, to record folk songs transmitted orally for centuries, interpreted for the past cantaors and singers. The subsequent success of Botifarra, after recording his first solo album in 2006, has made new generations sing those songs forgotten similarly singing commercial music they feel the media.
