He was a man of province, withdrawn and short stature. When religious and secular authorities designated for the Archdiocese of San Salvador, the capital, had the full expectation that play the traditional role of the church hierarchy: government support and sustain the status quo. This mistake would change the history of El Salvador. The film tells the story of the three years of leadership of Monsignor Romero in the Salvadoran church.
