The central theme is the eternal cycle of life: birth, sex, and death. The structure of the film images changing. No script, no sound, and combining images in the form of collage, the film examines the enigmatic gray area represents the image and the imagination. Powerfully raw, Dragonflies with Birds and Snake, exposes the physical signs of aging and vulnerability of cinema itself as a medium. Or, as Lehmann prefers explain: "film has physical effects, and like human skin, can be violated, one can sculpt it and show the flow of time." And in a sense incredibly original, the film is an excellent test of just that.
