He cannot even compose Amma (mother) Akka (sis) mama (me). Rather he draws three crosses regarding wall surface in charcoal depicting the threesome. He works for his stepfather holding water towards illicit brewery and experiences the rape of his sister by the stepfather, the bootlegger and also the consequent committing suicide of his sister. He murders their stepfather in vengeance and spends 17 years in prison, going back to the village as a grown-up to aid his uncle in farming and cattle rearing. He's still called Podi Eka. His attempts to begin a fresh life fail on account of the tragic death of his mother and his own brutish desires.
