As residents of the region fled their villages throughout the twentieth century to emigrate to developed countries of northern Europe, others escaped this development to return to the roots and the contact with nature. So Matavenero, an abandoned village, came to life in the 80s, watching the birth of a new community where interracial or rainbows ? Fit all ? ?. This renewed life expressed metaphorically in the large number of births in the village and in ecological and orderly management of a town that has attracted visitors and residents of all types and nationalities: retirees, hipsters, hippies, bohemians and punks. However, the community was quick to tackle various problems that lead to fragmentation and loss of spirit, originality and initial vitality.
