MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1938 film?

You can watch The Buccaneer, full movie on FULLTV - The story focuses on real events that occurred in New Orleans in 1812 when its residents - led by the pirate Lafitte and General Andrew Jackson - withstood the assault of the English. It is based on the book " Lafitt, the Pirate " by Lyle Saxon. Expensive piece of film from Paramount, where more than 10,000 extras, was filmed a lot of material that took three months to be made into a movie in the editing room. The photograph of Victor Milner was nominated for an Oscar. DeMille himself was commissioned to produce a new version in 1958, " The Buccaneer ", directed by Anthony Quinn who, precisely, plays a minor role here. A remake called Los bucaneros (1958) was made based on this movie.
