MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1926 film?

You can watch The Scarlet Letter, full movie on FULLTV - In the eighteenth century Puritan Boston, Hester Prynne is punished for playing on the Sabbath, but the friendly Rabbi Arthur Dimmesdale takes pity on her and lifts her punishment. The love that arises between them is utopian, because although Hester's husband disappeared seven years earlier in a shipwreck, the marriage is still valid. Dimmesdale goes to England and, upon returning, you discover that Hester is pregnant. The issue will become a scandal, and Hester is condemned to wear the symbol of adultery in his clothes. At the same time, society pressured to unveil who the father of the child.
