New remake of a classic Shaw Brothers. A monk named Fahai thus intervenes to save the soul of young enclosing the white snake into a deep well. The original 1962 film, White Snake, and had an adaptation in 1993 titled Green Snake that Tsui Hark directed and starred among others, Maggie Cheung.
