He's never attended college and thus does not learn how to read or write in Hindi nor English. His wedding is arranged with equally wealthy Janki, the sibling of Thakur Diwan and Ranjit Singh. On Hanuman Jayanti they get hitched but Janki is not pleased and decides to leave her husband. Gajendra pursuit of the woman but when he hears that this woman is dead, chooses to seal the Hanuman Mandir doors and stay solitary.
