The smart Pelayo entertained him for five days, but when Almanzor learned the ruse, killed him. From that moment he became a martyr and saint. Once a year, Leon land five people gather in a chapel to honor him for what he did, reciting each story ; San Pelayo thus advise them of possible natural disasters.
