Als unbekannte Wesen aus dem All, Frogs genannt, die Erde angreifen und die Weltregierung sich darob in Kompetenzgerangel verzettelt, liegt das Schicksal der Menschheit in den Händen von Cliff und Tamara. Eine von Exoterristen auf Erdkurs gelenkte Supernova wird unter Aufgabe der Orion in letzter Minute zerstört.
