The film stars newcomer Unni Mukundan and Ananya of Naadodigal popularity in the lead and features Dhanush in a protracted visitor appearance, while Suhasini, Sheela and Vivek come in supporting functions. The film, a remake regarding the 2002 Malayalam hit movie, Nandanam, released on 25 February 2011 to blended reviews. The complete film is shot inside a palacial set produced by art director Jacki.
