The grace and beauty of the princess is emphasized by a star on her forehead. It happens that the warlike King Kazisvet wants to marry the beautiful princess. He threatens with a terrible war if she does not agree. Princess Lada flees to the court of the kind, young prince Radovan. There she works unrecognized as a kitchen maid. At a ball they fall in love with each other and manage to drive away the evil king.
