With the Yankee troops comes a bunch of speculators and unscrupulous adventurers willing to make wealth. After the war, Colt Saunders a military veteran, returns to his ranch in Texas, where he will face two problems. First, the dark past of woman he just married. Furthermore, the greed of the Provisional government officials who want to seize their land.
