MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1997 film?

You can watch David, full movie on FULLTV - The tribes of Israel need a king to defeat the superior force of the Philistines. The prophet Samuel gives the Hebrews their first king, Saul, a simple farmer, who with the help of God becomes a brave and powerful warrior who leads the united tribes of Israel against their enemies. Saul, however, ceaseless doubt about his mission. Not reliable enough divine wisdom, acting on his own will and therefore sins against the Lord. The influential prophet Samuel departs from Saul in order to select a new king by the will of God: David. When David emerges victorious from his encounter with Goliath, the Philistine warrior more powerful, becomes a hero. His fame arouses the jealousy of King Saul, who feels that David is going to play his reign.
