From the account of Castellví, The case of Catalan explains, in parallel, two frames that are intertwined: first, the evolution of the War of Spanish Succession from the death of Charles II, in 1700, to the fall of Barcelona, the September 11, 1714 ; and secondly, the site of the Catalan capital, which lasted fourteen months.
