Genji, the son of the emperor, has gained popularity among the nobility of Kyoto for his charm and good looks, but he can not stop chasing the object of desire that must never get: the beautiful young wife of his father. Following his tragic obsession, Genji goes from one subject to another, always seeking some kind of resolution to his life.
