MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1942 film?

On the outskirts of the small fictional town of Levenford, Scotland, stands a strange construction, half villa, half castle, surrounded by thick stone walls. The people in the village has a nickname to this fortress, " Hatters Castle" by James Brodie the man who built it. James Brodie has a hat shop, is ruthless, arrogant, selfish, cruel, and supports his family in fear and submission. His wife, who long ago that is sick, and his daughter Nancy are intimidated by him. His son Angus 15 years, the only one he wants, suffers his love as much as others suffer its severity. Brodie spends his evenings with Nancy, the maid of Winton Arms Tavern. When former lover Nancy, Dennis, reappears, she persuades Brodie that divorce his faithful assistant give Perry and Dennis work. Dr. Brodie forbidden to return home. Dennis, who believes Brodie is the adopted brother of Nancy, secretly steals and later helps a company to acquire rival hats shop next door. Meanwhile, Dennis also conspires to casa.se with Mary to get rich dowry. Renwick, who is called to assist the ailing Mrs. Brodie, Mary falls in love sincerely. Nancy, who has fallen into the manipulations of Dennis, sadly refuses marriage proposal of the young doctor. One disaster after another is happening, a direct result of delusions of grandeur, selfishness and cruelty of Brodie ..
