MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1999 film?

You can watch Rembrandt, full movie on FULLTV - As a great artist who also did not tolerate even the slightest compromise, Rembrandt Van Rijn also experienced fame and wealth, bankruptcy and personal tragedy. Famous at thirty, he married the lovely Saskia and, within ten years, the lost, just as his fortunes began to decline. The fashion of the time were bright colors and a light touch. Rembrandt pursued a different vein, working with heavy shadows in the oils. Indifferent to propriety, chose his new wife from among his servants and did his friends out of polite society. Until one day, Amsterdam decides to punish the man whose genius has ever proclaimed so loudly ? ? The dramatic recreation of environments and historical moment the film earned him a Caesar ? Maximum - French film award for best production design. The director Charles Matton is also an accomplished painter, and it shows in the image processing. A remake called Stealing Rembrandt (2003) was made based on this movie.
