It is the intimate portrait of neurosurgeon Henry Marsh as he struggles with the dilemmas that arise in the relationship between doctor and patient. " It's a bit like selling your soul to the devil, but what can you do? My son had a brain tumor as a baby and desperately needed someone to help me. I can not turn our backs on this need in others.".
