MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1949 film?

You can watch The Red Pony, full movie on FULLTV - Adapted from a novel by John Steinbeck. Tom Tiflin is a child living on a farm in California with their parents and with the intrepid Billy Buck. A father Tom gives him a pony red for their endorsement. The pony then becomes the center of the child's life. Billy, who was, at one time, a professional rodeo, train it helps. But a rainy day the animal escapes and becomes ill. Billy tries to heal with the help of Tom's grandfather, a newcomer to the farm, but the state of the pony is serious. A remake called El potro Alazán (1973) was made based on this movie.
