The explosions happen at night when the German submarines U -boat torpedo Hitler American merchant ships in the Gulf of Mexico. In the town of Louisiana a climate of paranoia and distrust. A pretty widow struggling to raise his two sons as he begins to fall for a mysterious European doctor. Suspicions of a nearby enemy succeed and citizens seeking traitors in their own community. A Coast Guard prepares to somehow expose any saboteur which incidentally help the Germans from the ground and soon his research focuses on the couple in love.
