In a remote valley in Ecuador, farmers are faced with the possibility of be forced to leave their fertile land to make way for a mining project. Determined to defend the land that has been colonized by their grandparents, they come together and risk their lives to stop the mining company. Their resistance leads to a historic confrontation with armed paramilitary camp hidden in the cloud forest. Passionate and provocative, Under Rich brings the critical voices of people whose communities estándivididas by global forces.
